There is now less than a week left for artists working in the areas of sculpture, installation and contemporary craft to submit works for the 2018 Molly Morpeth Canaday Award – 3D. Organisers are already seeing entries streaming through from artists working across a wide range of three-dimensional art fields, and the flow is expected to increase in the lead up to the entry deadline this Friday, 1 December.
The Molly Morpeth Canaday Award – 3D looks to recognise the quality and diversity of three-dimensional work in New Zealand and generate discussion around these practices. Entrants may submit up to three separate works and are required to upload digital images of each work, with a supporting artist statement, if they wish.
The 2018 Award boasts a prize pool of $20,000, thanks to the generous support of local and national sponsors, and presents a fantastic opportunity for artists nationwide.
Entries can be made online through the Molly Morpeth Canaday website until the end of Friday, 1 December 2017.
