An artist talk hosted by photographer James Stanbridge this weekend will provide a special insight into the creative journey which has brought his latest exhibition, Nature is my Church: Visions of the Eastern Bay of Plenty, to life.
Join Stanbridge at Te Kōputu a te whanga a Toi – the Whakatāne Library and Exhibition Centre – at 11 am this Saturday, 13 October, as he shares the artist’s perspective on the creation of a superb series of Eastern Bay images.
“The landscapes he has captured are on one hand otherworldly, almost metaphysical, and yet on the other, they are comforting and familiar,” says Exhibitions Co-ordinator Victoria Sinclair. “But no matter where he takes his camera, no matter how daring the process to capture these scenes might be, Stanbridge always offers up unexpected visions.”
All are welcome to participate in this free event. No bookings required.
