From November 1 people will be able to book Whakatāne District Council-owned venues via a new online system.
The system brings venue bookings into line with current technology and will enable Whakatāne District Council to streamline its processes and better utilise its resources.
"This will make planning your events easier and faster," says Renee Twomey, Council’s reserves and bookings administrator. People will also be able to view venue availability.
The online booking system will initially be available only for Whakatāne War Memorial Hall bookings, but will be rolled out across all Council’s other community facilities over the next 12 months.
To book the War Memorial Hall, go to the Halls for Hire section on the council website and select this facility.
