⚠️ Tāneatua Road - Manual traffic control (stop/go) due to flooding.
Road works will continue around the rohe / district tomorrow as we do a spot of cleaning up. This includes on:
⚠️ Gorge Road to bottom of Ōhope Road - We'll be cleaning up various debris, blocked culverts, footpaths etc. Expect the slip lane on Gorge Road coming up the hill from town to be closed for a time, and please drive with caution over to Ōhope as our crews will be out and about.
⛔️ Night closures will be happening tonight and tomorrow night in central Whakatāne (Domain / Landing / Goulstone Roads) due to road maintenance. Detours will be in place.
Potholes can appear quickly following heavy rain.
