Maintenance work is to be carried out on the waka landing adjacent to Mataatua Reserve on Muriwai Drive.

Whakatāne District Council Service Delivery Officer Peter Cavanagh says the work is expected to take four days, and there may be some inconvenience to the public during that time.

“There has been some undermining of the bottom walkway footpath, so some remedial action is required to correct that,” Mr Cavanagh says. “The upper walkway will not be affected.”
