Applications for funding under the Creative Communities Whakatāne Scheme will close at 5:00 pm on Friday, 22 November 2013, and all interested individuals or organisations are urged to have their applications in.

The Creative Communities Whakatāne Scheme aims to increase participation in the arts at a local level and increase the range and diversity of arts available within the community. In the past, events such as concerts, a sculpture symposium, theatre productions, a Japanese drumming workshop and the Whakatāne Summer Arts programme have been supported.
