Repairs still being carried out on streetlights following Easter weekend storm damage

Following thunderstorms and associated lightning strikes during the Easter weekend weather events, many streetlights remain out in some areas, with repairs still being carried out.

According to Horizon Energy, repairs are scheduled for streetlights in the following areas:

  • Coastlands, including Dawn Parade
  • Warren Cole walkway
  • Northern end of Eivers Road
  • Richardson Street under-verandah light
  • One light in Ruatāhuna

Horizon reports that most of these faults should be repaired by the end of this week or early next week, with the exception of the Ruatāhuna light; this light may not be repaired until the end of next week.

If you have a streetlight out in your area, and you live outside the areas noted above, please let us know via our Fix-It form.
