Plan Change 7 has removed 8 Koromiko Street, Murupara from the Significant Indigenous Biodiversity Site (SIBS) schedule of the District Plan due to it being incorrectly included in the SIBS schedule.
What's happening
A Significant Indigenous Biodiversity Site is classed as a site where the District’s Biodiversity is best represented, and it was identified that 8 Koromiko Street had been incorrectly included in the SIBS schedule of the District Plan.
An ecological assessment confirmed that 8 Koromiko Street did not meet the criteria for inclusion in the District Plan’s SIBS schedule.
This overlay map (above) shows 8 Koromiko Street, Murupara which is the area removed from the SIBS schedule of the District Plan.

This was a limited notified plan change. Only persons who were given limited notification were able to make a submission on proposed Plan Change 7.
Submissions were open from Friday 23 September to 5pm Monday 24 October 2022 and no submissions were received.
Plan Change 7 was incorporated into the District Plan and made Operative (live) on 27 January 2023.
