Library

Whakatāne District Council has three community libraries in Murupara, Edgecumbe and Ōhope, and the Horizon Energy Group Library Whakatāne located in the Esplanade Mall, Kakahoroa Drive, Whakatāne.

Swimming Pools

Two public swimming pools are owned and operated by the Whakatāne District Council: the Murupara Community Swimming Pool, and the Whakatāne District Aquatic and Fitness Centre.
