Water Interruption Notice for Te Rahu Road, Whakatāne

As part of the culvert underpass works currently underway on Te Rahu Road, Council contractor Draintech will be renewing the water-main at this location. All properties connected to the Council water supply on Te Rahu Road will be affected and will experience supply disruption as connections to the new water-main take place.

Works to lay and join the new water-main will be undertaken on Wednesday, 16 May, between 9am and 3pm.

During these works, connected consumers in this area may experience low water pressure, until such time as the new water-main is connected.

To ensure that any air is removed after the connection takes place, the contractor may need to enter your property and run an outside tap for a couple of minutes. To ensure the safety of the contractor’s staff, if you have a dog with an aggressive nature, please ring Draintech on the number below and arrange a time when safe access to your property can be provided.

When the water comes back on, it is recommended that you run an outside tap before using water for any indoor purposes.

We apologise for any inconvenience this work may cause. If you have any queries or concerns regarding this notice; or if the supply of water is extremely critical for health reasons at a particular time of day, please contact us.
