The Resource Management Amendment Act introduced a number of new resource consent processes to make the decision-making under the Resource Management Act (RMA) more customer-focused and efficient. This includes new fast-track (10-day) consents for boundary activities and controlled land use activities (excluding subdivision), and an exemption process for temporary or marginal activities.
The Whakatāne District Council has resolved to set Resource Management Act fees to include the new resource consent and exemptions processes that come into effect on 18 October 2017.
