Hearings to the Proposed Whakatāne District Plan were undertaken in two phases. The first phase took place from April to June 2014, and the second phase took place from July 2014 to May 2015.
The consultation process has finished, and the Plan was made Operative in July 2017.
The District Council notified the summary of decisions requested in submissions and made it available for inspection on 22 November 2013, with further submissions closing 19 December 2013.
Due to a Council processing error, submissions 71 and 75 were removed from the summary and a new summary prepared. The new summary was re-notified from Wednesday, 15 January 2014, and further submissions closed 5 pm, 30 January 2014.
