The Council has reviewed Part 13: Beaches of the Consolidated Bylaw 2008 and wishes to revoke it and replace it with the Draft Beaches Bylaw 2018.
This bylaw enables Council to manage activities on all beaches and to ensure the needs of different users are met. It also enables the Council to protect our beach environment from significant harm. While much of the existing bylaw is fit for purpose, other sections are outdated or not aligned with current practice.
The Council seeks your views on the Draft Beaches Bylaw 2018 – a revised and updated version of the existing bylaw.
