Community Boards

Whakatāne District Council has four Community Boards covering the entire district. 

Community Boards meet every seven weeks.

This Board covers the Whakatāne-Ōhope General Ward and Kapū te rangi Māori Ward areas that includes communities in Ōhope, Whakatāne and Piripai/Coastlands.

The Tāneatua Community Board covers the Te Urewera General Ward and Toi ki Uta Māori Ward areas that includes the communities of Tāneatua, Ruatoki, Waimana, Nukuhou and Cheddar Valley.

This board covers the Rangitāiki General Ward and Rangitāiki Māori Ward and includes the communities of Edgecumbe, Matatā, Te Teko, Awakeri and Te Mahoe.

This board covers the Te Urewera General Ward and the Toi ki Uta Māori Wards areas and includes the communities of Waiohau, Galatea, Murupara, Te Whāiti, Minginui and Ruatāhuna.

Register of Members' Pecuniary Interest

This register of pecuniary interests is published pursuant to section 54A of the Local Government Act 2022.

The register provides a summary of elected members' financial, business and personal interests and business associations.
