Council Volunteers

Local residents, volunteering their time and energy to the District, provide public awareness and support to the District and foster a quality of life and well-being in our community. The role of a volunteer is to augment, not replace, paid staff positions. Our goal is to utilise the skills and interests of volunteers to enhance the services provided to the community in support of the District’s vision while giving the volunteers a meaningful work experience. 

The Council defines a volunteer as a person who performs work for us without expectation of gain or reward, with our knowledge and consent, who is a normal part of our businesses.
