Applications are being called for the Whakatāne District Annual Grants Scheme, which provides financial assistance to community-based, non-profit organisations providing a service to the general public in the Whakatāne District. Applications for the current funding round are open now, with $17,000 available in the 2017/18 year.

Successful applications in the past have included funding for administration and operational costs, officers’ salaries, vehicle running costs, essential supplies and materials.

Applications for the Annual Grants scheme must be received by 5pm on Monday, 31 July 2017 and addressed to:
