The 99th ANZAC Day District Memorial Service will take place at 9 am Friday, 25 April 2014, at the Whakatāne War Memorial.

Mayor Tony Bonne will preside together with Deputy Mayor Judy Turner, and services will be provided by the Reverend Anne Griffiths.

The Eastern Bay of Plenty Brass Band and the Whakatāne Scottish Pipe Band will provide musical accompaniment, and the guest speaker will be Retired Warrant Officer Neil Webb, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment.

Members of the public are cordially invited to attend.
