April School holiday activities at District libraries

Te Kōputu a te whanga a Toi – the Whakatāne District Library and Exhibition Centre – will host The Travelling Tuataras on Tuesday, 14 April at 11 am.

The Travelling Tuataras are art adventurers, fun-makers and performers who have enchanted thousands of children (and the young at heart) with their unique way of bringing stories alive. They ignite the creative spark wherever they go, with their magical mixture of storytelling, songs, their famous buckets, loads of audience participation and general merry-making. Entry is free.

All District libraries will also have the “Autumn Blast” booklet available throughout the holiday for children to take home and complete. The booklet is full of fun activities, with many commemorating the centenary of World War I.
