Rolling road closure for The Strand on Friday

As part of the Friday, 11 April graduation ceremony for Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi, a graduation procession will take place on Quay Street and The Strand, with rolling road closures in effect.

The procession will commence on Quay Street at 10:45 am and proceed west along The Strand, concluding at the Noel Leeming roundabout at Biddle Street and The Strand by 11:30 am.

Rolling road closures will be in effect throughout the procession of 250-300 participants, who will be piloted by a police vehicle.

An additional road closure will take place along the full length of Mataatua Street from 7 am to 12 pm; this is to make allowances for student parking during the event. Detours are available via Toroa Street or Wairaka Road.
