Whakatāne District Council contractors will be undertaking maintenance work on several stormwater soakage areas off Ocean Road in Ōhope from Monday, 6 March 2017.

The work will entail a small earth-moving machine entering the dunes via access tracks off Ocean Road, between Te Akau and Hoterini Streets, as well as a larger machine working on the beach.

All areas will be clearly marked, and the public is advised to stay clear while machinery is operating. Work is expected to be completed by 10 March, weather permitting.
