CAB tests show no asbestos

Analyses of three samples taken from the Whakatāne Citizens Advice Bureau have indicated that there is no asbestos present.

The CAB office was closed on a precautionary basis late last week while dust and linoleum samples were tested for asbestos. The negative results received mean the flooring project in the office can now proceed.

CAB staff will continue to operate from the Whakatāne District Council Civic Centre until the project is completed early next week.
