Whakatāne District Council is carrying out temporary maintenance work on the Whakatāne boat ramps on Friday, 28 April from 1 pm to 4:30 pm (around low tide of 2:24 pm).
This work is to remove sediment build-up.
One ramp will be cleared at a time, and the other ramp will be available for public access if required.
Work will be carried out by large excavator and trucks.
Please avoid movement around the ramps or keep a safe distance from operations if having to access the area.
