The Murupara Library and Service Centre will be closed to the public on Thursday, 9 and Friday, 10 May, while electrical maintenance is undertaken.

Whakatāne District Council Manager Lifelong Learning, Tangimeriana Rua says the facility shutdown will allow updates to the Centre’s switchboards and distribution boards to be completed.

"Murupara Library and Service Centre staff appreciate that this will cause some inconvenience for regular customers," she says. "We apologise for this disruption and thank the public for their patience while this necessary work is carried out."
