We are currently working on a permanent solution to the broken water pipe which interrupted water supply within the Rangitāiki Plains yesterday (Tuesday 3 December).
We expect this issue to be fully resolved by the end of today.
What to expect, and what to do:
- At this stage, water pressure is almost back to normal, however this may not be the case for everyone and some may still be experiencing low water pressure.
- You may also experience water discolouration while we repair the issue. This is no need for alarm, and is not unsafe. Generally, flushing your taps should eliminate the discoloration. We may need to 'flush' some areas to asssist with the removal of discoloured water. Do not be alarmed if you see exposed hydrants in your street etc.
We expect the matter to be fully resolved this evening, Wednesday,4 December.
We will continue to keep you updated here and on our social media accounts.
Aroha mai / apologies for this inconvenience.
