| Saturday, 12 July | The Auckland-based Green ‘S’ Welfare Task Force of New Zealand will once again be at Whakatāne Surf Club, Ōhope Beach to help with restoration planting in front of the Surf Club. Planting equipment and gloves will be supplied, but feel free to bring your favourite spade, and please wear covered footwear. Bring a smile and a friend or three. | Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 July | Bay of Plenty Rugby Union is again running the school holiday programme. It's more than just rugby skills, and a prizegiving is held at the end of each day. Day 2 will also include a swim at the Aquatic Centre. Come along and bring a friend. Girls and boys welcome, 7 to 12 years old. Bring food and drink, mouthguard, boots or sneakers, and warm clothes.
