Proposed Plan Change 17 (Awatarariki Fanhead) to the Bay of Plenty Regional Natural Resources Plan and proposed Plan Change 1 (Awatarariki Fanhead, Matatā) to the Whakatāne District Plan are soon to be jointly publicly notified for submissions.
The proposed plan changes incorporate material by reference. The material proposed to be incorporated by reference is: Australian Geomechanics Society “Landslide Risk Management”. Australian Geomechanics, Vol 42 No 1, March 2007.
Under clause 34, Schedule 1 to the Resource Management Act 1991, material that is proposed to be incorporated by reference in a plan change is to be made available for comment prior to notification of the plan change. Any comments made will be considered by both Councils.

Any person may comment on the material proposed to be incorporated by reference until 4pm on Tuesday, 22 May 2018.
